Project Feed the hood

Planting Seeds for Community Needs

Outdoor Learning and Greenspace support in educational institutions

Since its inception, Project Feed the Hood has been dedicated to bringing food literacy into classrooms and students out to green spaces. Our collaboration with schools and community has led to the creation of over 50 school gardens and greenspaces across New Mexico.

Visit our site at 3400 Ross Ave SE, where students can participate and learn outside of the classroom through field trips and workshops!

Internship Opportunity

Donaldo YaƱez Youth Summer Food justice Internship

Project Feed The Hoods Summer Internship gives youth a comprehensive understanding of Food Sovereignty, and its application in community spaces. The goal of this internship is to:

  • Uplift intergenerational and cross cultural learning
  • Empower youth to build collective sovereignty
  • Embody holistic and regenerative farming protocols
  • Develop awareness around sustainable ecosystem management

Regenerative Growing practices

We believe health, nutritious and locally grown food is a human right. That everyone should have a hand in the nourishment of their families and community. We grow our food with the intention of restoring health to people and the land. We grow organically and sustainably, using no artificial fertilizers, pesticide, herbicides, or GMOs; to ensure the feeding of future generations.
